Walls Up

Lately, life has been so smooth-sailing that the littlest things are able to result in a heavy heart. It could be because I have been smiling at everything, wanting to be happy at things I do that results in me easily ignoring the upsetting ones and moving forward. Then, the emotional inertia steals the show and the increasing mass of my heart ends up tugging down on my spirits and smile.

Maybe it is time to stop smiling even when there is no need to. Maybe it is time to stop smiling just to assure myself that I am happy. Maybe it is time to stop smiling because there is no need to.

Lessons learnt:
  1. Money is a very sensitive issue.
  2. If people can not take you seriously, then do not take them seriously.
  3. It does not matter if some have worked for longer than you have lived. Age is just a number; respect is earned, not commanded.
